Saturday 26 June saw the residents of Adlington House celebrate Wimbledon in style, as we provided an afternoon of entertainment with all the trimmings including games, prizes, complimentary champagne, afternoon tea and strawberries and cream.
There was a fantastic turnout with over 80 attendees and the event gave the residents, purchasers and guests a chance to hone their tennis skills on the Nintendo Wii, improve their knowledge of the game with the ‘guess who’ competition and quiz, and still have time to watch Wimbledon live on the TV.
A fun time was had by all and there was also a number of fundraising activities on the day, including the tombola. All proceeds have been donated to the local Rhos-on-Sea Methodist Church and the Donna Louise Trust.
